(Moisture Extreme Shampoo, $22.00 PhilipKingsley.com)
Moisture Extreme Shampoo Description: Formulated specifically for extremely porous, tight curls and all variations of ethnic textured hair. Also suitable for chemically processed/relaxed and synthetic hair. Provides a fine balance between thorough yet mild cleansing, leaving hair smooth, glossy, manageable and frizz free. Extensive moisture-binding properties and excellent substantivity help to repair damaged hair cuticles leaving a brilliant, healthy shine.
AHS: The shampoo is very good. The scent is very perfume-y so if that's not your thing you might want to skip these products. I thought the scent was amazing and it lingered lightly on my hair, which was pleasant. The shampoo thoroughly cleansed my hair with stripping it down and making it feel dry.
Moisture Extreme Conditioner Description: For extremely porous, tight curls and all variations of ethnic textured hair. Also suitable for chemically processed/relaxed and synthetic hair. This deeply moisturising conditioner penetrates the hair’s matrix, nourishing from within to reduce frizz and add intense shine. Contains essential nutrients, including vitamins, minerals, proteins and natural oils to promote strong, healthy hair and optimum growth.
AHS: Of the two products, the Moisture Extreme Conditioner is my favorite. It has four great oils in it, almond oil, wheat germ oil, avocado oil, and babassu oil which is probably why my hair was so soft and moisturized after using it. The conditioner scent matches the shampoo scents so again, if perfume-y isn't your thing skip it. I think these products are great for both relaxed and natural hair because it's super moisturizing and provides great slip.
